Classes of 2011, 2012, and 2013 – College Visits: As part of our Guidance Program this year the sophomores will visit Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma on May 10th, the juniors will visit Western Washington University in Bellingham on May 17th, and the freshmen will visit Seattle Pacific University on May 25th. Permission slips will be distributed to students, please return them by the respective dates listed on the forms with the money for transportation and lunch.

Summer is a good time to visit other college and university campuses to begin comparing schools and programs. Most colleges and universities have summer classes in session, so you can arrange to visit classes, tour the campus, and meet with admissions office representatives, if you contact the Admissions Office in advance. Check the college/university web site or call the Admissions Office. If you have any questions, please contact me.

SAT and ACT Tests: The Class of 2011 should plan to register for the early fall SAT and/or ACT tests. When you register, remember to include the Seattle Lutheran school code 481-167 so we receive the scores. Otherwise, you will need to order the scores each time you apply to a college, university, or for a scholarship with an additional fee and wait up to 6 weeks for the scores. Students with accommodations should check with Miss Vradenburgh before registering.

On-line registration will be available in July for next fall at www.CollegeBoard.com/reg for the SAT and www.actstudent.org for the ACT. The 2010-2011 fall test dates are listed below. ACT registration deadlines are listed; SAT registration deadlines are not yet available, but usually are about 4 weeks before the test:

Classes of 2011, 2012, and 2013 - Preliminary Class Registration for 2010-2011: Students will be receiving their individual Graduation Requirements Checklist and the preliminary class registration forms in May.
