Greetings SLHS Families!
Preparations are underway for our 2010 “Global Connections” Dinner and Auction. Our auction unites our entire community while providing significant funds to support teachers, students, classroom materials, and educational opportunities that are important to SLHS but are only partially covered by tuition revenue.
With this year’s theme of “Global Connections,” we pay tribute to Seattle Lutheran’s foreign language program; humanitarian efforts, both local and abroad; international travel; and the technology that brings the world to us. In fact, this year’s Fund-An-Item will raise funds for technology upgrades, including computers.
Volunteer
The best part of our auction is getting to know our school community. We have lead and supporting roles for everyone as described on the enclosed Volunteer Opportunities sheet. Please take a few moments to see if there’s a role that suits your interests and schedule (PIP credits apply, of course). Let’s connect!
Procure
All families are encouraged to procure at least two items. Procurement forms are included in this packet, and additional forms are available in the main office. Never done this before? Enclosed is a “how to” tip sheet and ideas list. Remember, no item is too big or too small. We appreciate a variety of items that will appeal to all auction guests.
Catalog Ads / Event Sponsorship
Place an advertisement in the auction catalog and/or sponsor our event to help defray costs. Enclosed is an Advertisement/Sponsorship Form” to explain more.
