Amanda Smoyer is a newer resident of Seattle, Washington having grown up in Southern California before journeying up the coast to the Pacific Northwest. After graduating from Lutheran High School La Verne in 2011, Amanda headed to Concordia University in Portland, OR where she received her bachelor’s degree in secondary education with an endorsement in Advanced Mathematics and a minor in Professional Church Work. Amanda currently teaches AP Calculus, Physics, and Algebra 1 and coordinates the chapel program. She is also the Math and Science Department chairman and an assistant coach for the Saints Volleyball program. Amanda lives with her cat Theodore in the southern area of Seattle. Outside of school hours Amanda enjoys playing Dungeons and Dragons and going to Renaissance Faires. Huzzah to the 2017-2018 school year!
